Pallet Flow Rack Layouts for Winter Haven, FL

Pallets being hand-rotated because the rack does not enforce FIFO is the most common reason Winter Haven warehouses call us. Pallet Flow Rack addresses that directly, reclaiming the positions a typical intermodal logistics layout in this market never uses.

We size the pallet flow rack around your pallets, your lift trucks, and the clear height in your CSX intermodal area building, factoring in gravity lanes loaded on one side and picked on the other. You get a drawing and a line-item price for the CSX intermodal area site, not a rough estimate. Call (407) 743-8726 and we will start a Winter Haven layout.

Why Winter Haven Warehouses Work With Us

Buildings around the CSX intermodal area and Havendale Boulevard are rarely uniform. Column spacing, dock aprons, and usable height differ enough from one Winter Haven site to the next that a layout copied from another building wastes positions.

For cold storage work near the SR-540 corridor, the deciding factor is normally lane pitch calculated for the pallet weights you actually run. We put that in front of you during the free pallet flow rack design consult, with Winter Haven position counts for both directions.

We also keep the Winter Haven pallet flow rack layout on file, so adding a bay next year or extending a row does not start from scratch.

    How Pallet Flow Rack Works

Load one side, pick the other, and let gravity enforce first in, first out.

    1

    Load end

Pallets enter at the high end of the lane. Each new pallet stages behind the one before it, so put-away is a single move made from the load-side aisle.

    2

    Gravity conveyor

Full-width rollers or skate-wheel tracks, set on a pitch calculated for the pallet weight, carry loads forward under control rather than free rolling.

    3

    Braking and separation

Brake rollers and pallet separators regulate travel and stop pallets from bunching, protecting both the product and the structure underneath it.

    4

    Pick end

Pickers work a face of first-in pallets. Pull one and the next indexes forward automatically, so the pick aisle stays organized without anyone re-facing stock.

What a Pallet Flow Rack Project Includes

Every Winter Haven pallet flow rack project begins with the numbers: what you store, how heavy it is, what lifts it, and how tall the usable space is. That Winter Haven conversation happens over the phone and usually takes about fifteen minutes.

From there our design team produces a CAD pallet flow rack layout showing positions, elevations, and aisle widths for your Winter Haven floor plan, plus an itemized quote so you see cost per pallet position. Where it helps, we price a second configuration on the same plan, with lane pitch calculated for the pallet weights you actually run, so the tradeoff between density and access is a number instead of an opinion. Load ratings for each pallet flow rack level are documented in the Winter Haven drawing, not guessed in the field.

Pallet Flow Rack freight is staged to fit SR-540 corridor access, and installation partners build the system exactly as drawn, then verify that the system is plumb and anchored to the floor, and check capacity tags. Phasing keeps your Winter Haven floor operating during the install, and the same team schedules and manages experienced installation crews for later additions or a relocation.
