# Drive-In Rack Systems in St. Cloud, FL

Most construction supply and food service distribution operations in St. Cloud outgrow the layout before they outgrow the building, usually starting with seasonal inventory that swallows floor space three months a year. Drive-In Rack is the system we reach for when the floor is full but the air above the US-192 east corridor racks is not.

We take the pallet weights, lift truck, and usable height from your Narcoossee area site, weigh it against aisles traded for lanes to push positions per square foot, and come back with a drawing, a position count, and a priced bill of material. Call (407) 743-8726.

## Why St. Cloud Warehouses Work With Us

Buildings around the Old Canoe Creek Road area and the US-192 east corridor are rarely uniform. Column spacing, dock aprons, and usable height differ enough from one St. Cloud site to the next that a layout copied from another building wastes positions.

That is part of why drive-in rack fits St. Cloud operations: lane dimensions drawn around your specific lift truck. A short design consult tells you quickly whether that tradeoff works for your SKUs, or whether another system carries more of the load in a Old Canoe Creek Road area footprint.

Clear coordination matters on a St. Cloud project: scheduled freight, a direct answer on a drive-in rack revision, and one contact for planning future positions.

## How Drive-In Rack Works

No aisles. The forklift enters the structure, and the floor holds more pallets per square foot than any other system.

1

### Continuous rails, not beams

Pallets rest on rails carried by upright frames rather than individual beam levels, so a lane accepts pallet after pallet at the same elevation.

2

### The truck enters the lane

The driver travels inside the bay to place or retrieve each load. Lane width, rail height, and mast clearance get dimensioned to that specific truck, not a generic one.

3

### One open end or two

One open end gives LIFO and the highest density available. Two open ends give FIFO with slightly fewer positions, since each lane now needs clearance from both sides.

4

### Guarding built into the design

Guide rails, column guards, and rail-end protection are part of the spec from the start, to help protect the structure from forklift contact.

## What a Drive-In Rack Project Includes

A drive-in rack quote for St. Cloud starts from measurements, not assumptions — clear height, column spacing, dock access, pallet weights, and which SKUs turn daily versus monthly.

From there our design team produces a CAD drive-in rack layout showing positions, elevations, and aisle widths for your St. Cloud floor plan, plus an itemized quote so you see cost per pallet position. Where it helps, we price a second configuration on the same plan, with lane dimensions drawn around your specific lift truck, so the tradeoff between density and access is a number instead of an opinion. Load ratings for each drive-in rack level are documented in the St. Cloud drawing, not guessed in the field.

Drive-In Rack freight is staged to fit Narcoossee area access, and installation partners build the system exactly as drawn, then verify that the system is plumb and anchored to the floor, and check capacity tags. Phasing keeps your St. Cloud floor operating during the install, and the same team schedules and manages experienced installation crews for later additions or a relocation.

High volume of a small number of SKUs

Seasonal or buffer inventory held in bulk

Cold storage and freezer rooms where cube matters most

Product too fragile to floor-stack more than two high

Buildings where floor space, not height, is the binding constraint
